Nearby you have Tintern Abbey, Clearwell Caves, Dean Forest Railway, Puzzlewood, The International Centre for Birds of Prey, Symonds Yat, Westbury Court Gardens,Goodrich Castle ….
There are towns to visit: – Hay-on-Wye for old books, Bath for history and shopping!, Wales for Castles and the Brecon Beacons, Cheltenham, the Cotswolds The Malvern Hills, The Severn Bore (at the right time of year!), National Trust Houses and Gardens ….
You can go down a genuine coal mine, see charcoal burning, learn about the history of the Royal Forest in the local Dean Heritage Centre ….
And for Walkers – Lea House is only a short walk (approximately 2 miles) from two well-known routes – The Wysis Way and The Gloucestershire Way. The Three Choirs Walk is about 4 miles away.
